Yup still on the subject of Net Neutrality

Published by jradke138 under news, politics Edit This

Whomever has not read my previous articles really should there obviously almost all about net Net Neutrality.  Although im still working on getting my blog a little bit bigger you know more of a fan base so whomever should check it out cause its atleast an interesting quick read.

And whoever doesnt have a today account just on the left hand side youll see an ad click on it, it is on the right hand side and youll get paid to blog its awesome. Well ill get back on the subject of net neutrality i just had to add that in of course to help toda out so much a website helping me spread the word.

Well back on the subject.  In addition to the millions of Americans who have taken a stand in support of Net Neutrality, we have president who has pledged to “take a back seat to no one” in his commitment to Net Neutrality.  Me being a Republican I was not a big fan of Barack becoming president but the fact is he is working hard to support this cause and I can respect that.  All the things he is doing has kind of made me glad he has become the president.

It’s no surprise then, as we are about to make history, that powerful forces are aligning to stop this fundamental change from happening. The Wall Street Journal story paints support for Net Neutrality as ebbing, confusing a Google plan to utilize “edge caching” technology as a fundamental violation of Net Neutrality by one of its biggest corporate supporters.

According to Google, the “secret” program referred to by the Journal is nothing more a content caching technology that has been going on for years. There is no prioritization, they write, nor is there an ISP choosing fast lanes and slow lanes. Hundreds of companies do this to move content geographically closer to end-users.  Now personally I do not have the proof but other big supporters of this cause do it would take me a million blogs to state all the evidence really.

Google has been a moving target for phone and cable industry lobbyists and their hired shills. “The Wall Street Journal is playing vessel for the latest attack,” writes Karl Bode of Broadband Reports.

“It’s a nice win for whichever cable company leaked the news as it paints Google as a hypocrite ahead of next year’s renewed fight over network neutrality legislation,” Bode continues. “However, the Wall Street Journal is intentionally distorting Google’s proposal for political effect.”  I am not really sure witch cable company leaked this but once I heard this I lost alot of respect for google as they were one of my favorite corporations.

Well that concludes this blog for today and I will be back with more of this information tomorrow so always come back and check out more!!

We Need Net Neutrality Now

Published by jradke138 under news, politics Edit This

Most everyone agrees that we need Net Neutrality.  Like i have talked about in my previous blog its protecting the freedom of speech on the net.  So the net is equal to everyone.  Luckily our president barrack Obama agrees.  He is one of the many people fighting to keep it free.  I believe it is a bigger issue then most people think.  Most people see it as an issue that will never happen but thats the thing it could.

Some people are probally asking who wants to get rid of Net Neutrality.

The nation’s largest telephone and cable companies — including AT&T, Verizon, Comcast and Time Warner — want to be Internet gatekeepers, deciding which Web sites go fast or slow and which won’t load at all.

They want to tax content providers to guarantee speedy delivery of their data. They want to discriminate in favor of their own search engines, Internet phone services, and streaming video — while slowing down or blocking their competitors.

These companies have a new vision for the Internet. Instead of an even playing field, they want to reserve express lanes for their own content and services — or those from big corporations that can afford the steep tolls — and leave the rest of us on a winding dirt road.

The big phone and cable companies are spending hundreds of millions of dollars lobbying Congress and the Federal Communications Commission to gut Net Neutrality, putting the future of the Internet at risk. So now your asking is this real can they do this.

By far the most significant evidence regarding the network owners’ plans to discriminate is their stated intent to do so.

The CEOs of all the largest telecom companies have made clear their intent to build a tiered Internet with faster service for the select few companies willing or able to pay the exorbitant tolls. Network Neutrality advocates are not imagining a doomsday scenario. We are taking the telecom execs at their word.

So far, we’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg. But numerous examples show that without network neutrality requirements, Internet service providers will discriminate against content and competing services they don’t like. This type of censorship will become the norm unless we act now. Given the chance, these gatekeepers will consistently put their own interests before the public good.

The cable and telephone companies already dominate 98 percent of the broadband access market. And when the network owners start abusing their control of the pipes, there will be nowhere else for consumers to turn.  So it is a pretty scary thing and I and others do have evidence to prove it.  Well tomorrow I will talk more about this subject and what you can do to help.

So what cause is everyone fighting for

Published by jradke138 under news, politics Edit This

I am a little interested to hear what cause everyone is fighting for.  I have been talking about save the internet and such. Well freedom of speech across the internet.  Im always interested in what other people are fighting for.  It may be animal rights or human rights.  Different types of freedom of speech.  Of course many more.  I love when I see other people do what they can to make a difference.  So under this blog I think that others should post what they believe in,  what there fighting for or what cause concerns them.

I know im always wanting to fight about freedom of speech of almost any kind.  I try to what I can againts puppy mills to cause there messed up more then anything else.  I know that sometimes its hard to fight for what you believe in and thats mainly cause it seems like you wont make a difference.  But I believe that every single person can make a difference.  I mean im one person making this blog and after I post its out there on google were anyone can read this opinion and hopefully change there mind.

Every little thing helps I believe if we all work together instead of againts each other this world can be awesome.  Now im not saying that one person can stop a war,  well actually maybe that is possible haha.  What I am saying if you see someone who needs help or a cause that needs help yes one person can make all the difference.

Okay back on the subject of save the internet

Published by jradke138 under Uncategorized Edit This

Alright so I kept on changing the subject well from the emails I got and conversations I had it seems the most Interesting topic I had was about saving the Internet.  I wrote about that in my first blog then wrote about Heroes the nbc show.  But I want to talk more about Save the Internet.  Witch is talking about net Neutrality for you that dont know what that is read my previous blog.  Well some of the emails I got back on that people were saying well this will never happen.  But I believe that it can.  Big internet companies and telephone companies really could regulate the net and they some what already have.

I am not sure if you know what bit torrents are but they are basically download programs.  Well in the last year a law passed about regulating them and make them slower and well they said it was to help prevent pirating but I believe that was a way to first start regulating things.  President Barack Obama has spoken out in favor of Net Neutrality. But special interests in Washington are claiming to the press that Net Neutrality is a non-issue.  Of course special interest groups are run by big corporations.

Some of you are most likely thinking well how does this affect me.  truth is it would be hard for you to find the best deals on the internet with big companies blocking out there compition and also makes it to were they choose what you see on the net.  I am always wanting a discussion about this so leave comments and we will discusse this and I will post more so  Book mark my blog so you can read more when I update!

Check out a program I use click here its called three hour profits tho this doesnt have to do with this blog but check it out anyways  CLICK HERE

Save the Internet Now!!!

Published by jradke138 under Uncategorized Edit This

Since this is my first blog let me introduce myself.  My name is Jon Radke I do marketing but I am self employed. Well anyways I am not usually into government conspiracies in fact I do not believe pretty much any of them I hear one thing i want to talk about is not a conspiracy its true.  I pretty much think we should all be concerned about is net neutrality.  Now for all of you who do not know that is or what it is about I will explain.  Network Neutrality — or “Net Neutrality” for short — is the guiding principle that preserves the free and open Internet.  It is basically equal rights of the internet.  Now some big telephone companies  and some big internet companies basically want to get rid of that to make more money for themselves.  Basically they want to get rid of there competitors by making it were you cannot access them because they will not let you.  They will be the deciders of what you see and what  you dont.  Now some of you may or may not believe me but if you want you can check out this site for more info also bookmark my blog for I will post more each day.  Also leave comments on what you think!!!
